Barnsley sign Manchester City defender Kieran Trippier

Barnsley

Barnsley have signed Manchester City defender Kieran Trippier on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old has been drafted in by Tykes manager Mark Robins to cover for Bobby Hassell and Rob Kozluk, who have both been sidelined with injury.

Trippier won the FA Youth Cup with Manchester City in 2007/08 but has yet to make his Premier League debut.

The Bury-born youngster has also represented England, competing in the 2009 Under-20 World Cup.
