Barnsley have agreed a new two-year contract with goalkeeper Luke Steele to remain at Oakwell until June 2011.

The 24-year-old joined Barnsley on loan from West Bromwich Albion in August 2008 has since made 24 appearances.

He was part of Barnsley's FA Cup run last season that took to the semi-final against Cardiff and which saw them beat Liverpool and Chelsea on the way.

Steele has also previously played for Peterborough, Manchester United and Coventry City.
