Barnsley in ticket price promise

Barnsley have confirmed that they will not be raising season ticket prices for the 2009/10 campaign in an attempt to attract more fans to Oakwell.

Club secretary Don Rowing said that the worst fans of the Reds can expect is a price freeze.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We won't increase prices, as yet I haven't had the chance to sit down with [chairman] Patrick Cryne to discuss that."

"Certainly our view at this time is that there won't be any increase."

The club have also cut ticket prices for the home game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, 4 April.
