Port Vale striker Leon Constantine's proposed move to Barnsley has fallen through after it hit a snag.
Constantine has been with Port Vale since November 2005
Tykes front man Marc Richards, 24, who was due to move to Vale Park in part exchange, will now stay at Oakwell.
Constantine, 28, who joined Vale from Torquay just over a year ago, has scored 18 goals this season.
"He will be involved in Saturday's game against Northampton in some capacity, depending on his frame of mind," boss Martin Foyle told Vale's website.
