Barnsley have signed Manchester United left-back Adam Eckersley on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has made only one first-team appearance for the Old Trafford club, in a Carling Cup tie last season.
He has enjoyed loan spells with Royal Antwerp and Brondby and has represented England at various youth levels.
Eckersley told Barnsley's website: "I have not played in the Championship and hopefully I'll become a better player."
