Iwelumo is reportedly being chased by a number of clubs
Barnsley have admitted an interest in signing Stoke striker Chris Iwelumo.

But the Yorkshire club face opposition from a host of clubs for the Scottish 25-year-old's signature.

Stoke director of football John Rudge said Aberdeen, Peterborough, Yeovil, Swindon and Huddersfield were keen.

But Huddersfield manager Peter Jackson was quick to dismiss reports linking him to the player who started his career at St Mirren back in 1996.

Jackson said: "There's no truth in that at all. Stoke have been contacting all clubs offering his services but we're definitely not interested in him."
