Burns staying at Barnsley
Former Leeds midfielder Jacob Burns has earned an extended stay at Barnsley.

Burns, 25, joined the Tykes in the middle of October and has now signed a further month's contract at Oakwell.

The Australian has made four starts and two substitute's appearances so far for Gudjon Thordarson's promotion-chasers.

Meanwhile, Leeds' Irish international Stephen McPhail and England under-20 defender Matthew Kilgallon are both set to return to Elland Road next week.

McPhail has been on loan at Nottingham Forest but the club's couldn't agree a permanent deal.

West Ham wanted to keep Kilgallon until the end of the season but Leeds have asked for him back.
