Mulligan is looking for a new club
Barnsley have released defender David Mulligan.

The New Zealand international has not had his week-to-week contract renewed.

Mulligan has made four appearances for the Tykes this season, and 70 in all since coming through the club's youth ranks.

The 21-year-old, set play for New Zealand against Iran this weekend, follows Kevin Dixon and Carl Barrowclough in leaving Oakwell in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Barnsley midfielder Kevin Donovan may have to undergo a scan on a groin injury that has kept the former West Brom and Grimsby man out of action all season.

"Kevin is not coming on quite as well as we would hope," Tykes' physio David Moore told his club's website.

"He could be sent for an MRI scan later this week to make sure there is nothing more serious in there."
