Barnet are set to make their first signing of the summer by completing a deal for ex-Swindon striker Jake Hyde.
Barnet boss Ian Hendon has watched the forward, 19, playing in Swindon's reserve team before his release in May.
Hendon told the club's website: "He impressed me when I saw him play last season. He will be a good addition to our squad."
Hyde said: "It will be a new experience for me. Barnet would be only the second club I've signed a contract with."
Hyde trained with the Barnet squad on their first day back for pre-season training on Wednesday. The deal to sign the player is due to be completed within the next 48 hours.
Hyde was one of nine youth-team players who signed 18-month professional contracts with League One side Swindon in February 2008. He later played on loan for Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier.
