Hughes signs new Barnet contract

Barnet midfielder Mark Hughes has agreed a new one-year contract, having impressed since joining from Chester City in February.

The 25-year-old Northern Ireland cap made nine starts and one substitute appearance for the Bees this season.

Hughes began his career at Tottenham, and has had spells with Northampton, Oldham and Chesterfield before joining Chester from Stevenage.

He is the first player to commit his future to the club this summer.
