Frenchman Gillet joined Barnet from Caen last summer
Barnet left-back Kenny Gillet has been fined and banned after being sent off for violent conduct in the Carling Cup first round defeat by Brighton.
The Bees, who went down 4-0, will be without the 22-year-old for the away games against Rochdale and Chester and their home match with Brentford.
Manager Paul Fairclough said: "Kenny has really let us down.
"He retaliated after being antagonised when he got kicked but his impetuosity is coupled with a desire to win."
Last season Barnet picked up 10 red cards and, as a result, have a £2,000 fine from the Football Association hanging over them.
Fairclough has already started looking at his options to cover the absence of Gillet, with 19-year-old Aswad Thomas training with the club.
And the manager has another left-back coming in on trial and is believed to have spoken to a Premier League and Championship side about getting a player on loan.
