Groin injury ends Yakubu's season

Barnet captain Ismail Yakubu will not play again this season because of a persistent groin injury.

The 22-year-old defender has missed the last four games, including Saturday's 3-0 win over Bury, with the problem.

And with the Bees now safe from relegation, boss Paul Fairclough has taken the decision to stand Yakubu down from action.

Yakubu, who has made 34 appearances for the club this season, is set to see a consultant later this week.
