Barnet manager Paul Fairclough saluted his squad after their win over Halifax clinched the Conference title and promotion back to the Football League.
"These players have created a little bit of history and no one can take that away from them," he said. "Winning the championship makes them immortal.
"It's been a lifelong ambition to be a League manager.
"At the moment I still can't believe it. I don't think I will until we play our first fixture next season."
Barnet forward Ben Strevens, the only survivor from the Bees side relegated from the League in 2001, was also in jubilant mood.
"There was a lot better feeling in the dressing room this time than on that day four years ago," he told the Barnet Times.
"People don't really know how much the boys wanted this."
