Ayr United land goalkeeper Samson

Samson was released by Hereford in April

Ayr United have signed former Ross County and Dundee goalkeeper Craig Samson on a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old had his contract at Hereford terminated by mutual consent in April.

The last of 14 appearances he made for the Bulls was in January's 4-1 defeat at Stockport County.

An Ayrshire native, Samson began his career at Kilmarnock and moved to Dundee United before spending a season at County then Dundee.
