Ayr United boss Robert Connor said his side were deflated after losing their Scottish Cup third round replay 2-1 against St Johnstone in extra time.
"All the players are disappointed but we're proud of the way they performed," Connor said.
"We had commitment and desire in bucketloads and we thought we deserved penalties - to lose such a late goal is hard to take.
"We matched St Johnstone and are just so disappointed the way it ended."
