Togolese international Moustapha Salifou has finally joined his Aston Villa team mates, two months after signing for the club.
The 24-year-old midfielder had been delayed because of problems getting a work permit.
The so-called "Togolese Zidane" is expected to feature in Villa's reserves game against Chelsea on Monday.
Martin O'Neill told the club's website: "There's a real hunger from him to play, he was really dead keen to come."
The Villa boss added : "Absolutely none of this is his fault at all. We thought the whole thing was cleared on the last day of the transfer window.
"But through a collection of circumstances there's been delay."
