Aston Villa have signed centre-back Curtis Davies from West Brom on a season-long loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
Davies joined West Brom from Luton Town for £3m in August 2005
The 22-year-old had a transfer request turned down by West Brom, but they did suggest they would be open to offers.
Villa had long been linked with a move for the former Luton star, who was keen to move back to the Premier League.
Reports suggested Davies was set for a permanent move with Spurs rumoured to be keen on the £10m-rated player.
West Brom, who lost in the Championship play-off final to Derby in May, have already seen stars Jason Koumas and Diomansy Kamara leave the club.
