Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill said the good form shown by Gabriel Agbonlahor has meant he cannot afford to give the forward a break.
Agbonlahor has scored four goals this season
The 20-year-old, who only come off the bench for Villa before this season, has started all 16 games this season under Martin O'Neill.
O'Neill said: "Quite simply, we can't afford for Gabby to not be in the side.
"If he was playing in a bigger squad, I would definitely think about resting him - but we can't."
606 DEBATE: Is O'Neill right not resting Agbonlahor?
Villa are fifth in the Premiership and Agbonlahor has been a key factor in the turnaround in the fortunes.
Northern Irishman O'Neill added: "Often it is the case that young players come into the side and then go out of the team - but Gabby has carried on.
"If you had said to him at the start of this season or the back end of last season that he would play this amount of games in the whole season, he would probably have taken it."
