Angel set for sub's role
Juan Pablo Angel
Aston Villa's Juan Pablo Angel looks set for a surprise appearance on the bench on Sunday.

The Colombian scored in a 2-1 reserve team win over Leeds on Wednesday and could now feature against West Brom.

"I wouldn't rule him out of being on the bench on Sunday. We'll judge over the next couple of days on that one," said manager David O'Leary.

"I know the fans will be delighted that their big favourite is back and that's great for them."

Angel said: "I'm very pleased and I feel fine. I didn't feel any reaction at all from my knee, so I'm very happy.

"Obviously I need to get playing again to get the sharpness but in general I felt very good. It was great for me to score again.

"The most important thing for me was to score a goal and have a few minutes on the field. I felt all right in general. It's a matter of time before I return to the first team."
