Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists the ankle problem that has ruled out defender Sol Campbell for the next two or three weeks is a genuine injury.
Campbell has not played since being taken off against West Ham
Campbell has not played since the 3-2 loss to West Ham but had been expected to return against Bolton this weekend.
"He played two or three weeks with it, but the injury became worse against West Ham," said Wenger.
"It's a genuine physical injury. It is bone bruising. He cannot kick the ball at the moment."
Campbell left Highbury at half-time after being substituted during the loss to West Ham on 1 February, sparking rumours of off-the-field problems, but Wenger said they had had clear-the-air talks about his behaviour.
"I met Sol and we had a frank explanation," he said.
"He is highly-motivated to do well and he spoke as well to the players. You do not walk out like he did when you are Sol Campbell if you have a problem, and he did that.
"We are all behind him and we support him. I believe he will support us as much as he can until the end of the season."
