Gilberto comeback delights Henry

Gilberto Silva has played only seven matches this season

Striker Thierry Henry deflected attention from his scoring exploits in Arsenal's win over Norwich and instead praised midfielder Gilberto Silva.

"People notice the guy who scores goals but Gilberto is a very important player and he made a difference," he said of the Brazilian's return from injury.

"Gilberto is our Claude Makelele. Makelele is the key player for Chelsea and Gilberto is one of our key players.

"He stays put and makes sure he breaks things down on the counter-attack."

Gilberto had been sidelined for almost 200 days with a career-threatening back injury but made an impressive return in the middle of the park.

"I don't know if we've had a game with Patrick Vieira and Gilberto playing together this season," added Henry.

"But thankfully he's back for the end of the season and the most important thing is for us to try to get back on track."
