Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hailed his side's spirit after they recovered from a poor first half to draw 1-1 at Spurs.
He said: "Tottenham were sharper and more dangerous in the first half but at half-time my team was born-again and we should have won the game.
"Overall we came back from a goal down and it is great credit to the team.
"The team realised we needed to do more and if we had not come out with a different attitude, we were in danger. I am delighted with their response."
He added: "The fact that I did not start with Robert Pires today was not linked to last week's penalty.
"When the team lacks a bit of confidence away from home you need to be a bit more solid and I adapted for that approach."
