Dennis Bergkamp's appeal against a red card in Arsenal's FA Cup draw against Sheffield United has been rejected by the Football Association.
The 35-year-old striker was dismissed in the first half for appearing to shove United's Danny Cullip.
As a result, a three-match suspension will start with immediate effect.
Bergkamp will miss the Premiership matches against Southampton and Portsmouth, as well as the Cup replay with the Blades on 1 March.
