David Beckham has called on Patrick Vieira to quit Arsenal and join him at Real Madrid.
Speculation has been mounting that Vieira is set to quit the Premiership and he is due to hold crunch talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger on Saturday.
But Beckham told Real Madrid's website: "When a club wants to sign a player it is always the player who decides.
"Vieira is one of the best midfielders that exist. If he decides to change team, let him come to Madrid."
Vieira has three years left on his Highbury contract but the French midfielder has been consistently linked with a move to the Spanish giants.
Should the Frenchman make the transition to Spain, Beckham believes he will have no regrets.
The England captain said: "Playing in front of the Real fans and with these players is very special."
Speculation about Vieira's impending departure will increase with the news Porto midfielder Maniche says Arsenal have enquired about him.
