WENGER'S VIEW
|
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was happy his side produced a response to their midweek Champions League draw with a brilliant 4-0 thrashing of Charlton.
Wenger said: "I felt the team was up for it today, they wanted to give a response because there had been reports doubting our team spirit this week.
"The players wanted to respond and they did it on the pitch in the right way.
"In the second half we stepped it up and I felt we could have scored more, we looked really good on the ball."
He added: "You want to keep it at the level it is, we want to play at the top level and the players did that very well today.
"They were quick, intelligent, sharp and the movement was good. It becomes an art to watch a game when the players are on the same wavelength."
