Arsenal back for Trabelsi
Ajax defender Hatem Trabelsi
Arsenal are thought to have concerns over Trabelsi's fitness
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed the Gunners may still complete the signing of Ajax defender Hatem Trabelsi before the transfer window closes.

Wenger has tracked the 27-year-old all summer and is keen to bolster his defensive options at Highbury.

"It is possible to resurrect that deal. At the moment we only have Lauren with experience at right-back," said Wenger.

Tunisian defender Trabelsi has just a year left on his contract at the Amsterdam ArenA.

It had looked like Trabelsi would sign for Arsenal in July, but the deal fell apart with reports of concerns over the player's fitness.

One possible solution would be for Arsenal to sign him on a pay-as-you-play deal, but that would depend on whether Ajax are keen to do a deal.
