Ljungberg injury blow
Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg
Ljungberg was named Swedish player of the year
Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg will miss Sweden's friendly against the Czech Republic in Teplice on Wednesday with a knee injury.

Ljungberg picked up the injury when he clashed with Tottenham's Ledley King in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Spurs on Saturday.

"The doctors have forbidden me to play on Wednesday," said Ljungberg. "I have got some internal bleeding in my knee."

Better news came for Ljungberg as he picked up the Swedish player of the year award in Stockholm on Monday.

"I don't want to single out anyone for special thanks," he said on receiving the Guldbollen.

"I think as I stand here with the finest prize you can get in Sweden those people know who they are. Thank you everybody."
