Seaman out for six weeks
Seaman will be out of action for a further six weeks
Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman will be out of action until the New Year after undergoing surgery on a shoulder injury.
"Seaman had surgery on Tuesday after seeing a specialist. He will be out for six weeks," confirmed manager Arsene Wenger. Seaman's lay-off leaves Arsenal with a major goalkeeping crisis. Second choice Richard Wright, also Seaman's England understudy, will be out for at least a further 10 days with a knee injury. That leaves 20-year-old novice Stuart Taylor as the only senior squad goalkeeper left to face Juventus in the Champions League next Tuesday.
