BBC Sport Online profiles FA Cup finalists Arsenal.
David Seaman Seaman has helped confound doubts about his form with some impressive and consistent displays for England and Arsenal. A stalwart of the Highbury side's back line, he has notched more than 400 appearances for the Gunners since signing from QPR for £1.3m in 1990.
Alex Manninger Since bursting on to the scene as cover for Seaman, Manninger has failed to recapture that form. The first Austrian to play in the Premiership, he signed from Graz AK in June 1997.
Lee Dixon The evergreen performer has continued to hold his right-back berth despite his increasing years. An established member of the Arsenal rearguard, Dixon had spells at Burnley, Chester, Bury and Stoke before a £400,000 move to Highbury in 1988.
Tony Adams Arsenal's inspirational captain, Adams quit international football this season because of the increasing demands of combining England and Arsenal duty. His return from injury earlier in the season has coincided with improved defensive performances for the club where he made his debut in 1983 after graduating through the ranks.
Igor Stepanovs Latvian Stepanovs was signed for £1m from Skonto Riga in September 2000. He has shown glimpses that he possesses the quality to fill a central defensive role, although his inconsistency leaves a question mark over his capabilities.
Martin Keown England defender Keown is renowned for his man-marking abilities and as a no-nonense central defender. He left Arsenal in 1986 but returned via a spell at Everton when he completed a £2m move to Highbury in 1993.
Ashley Cole One of the finds of the season, left-back Cole's progress has seen him not only become a first team regular but also earn his first England cap. A graduate of the Arsenal ranks, he is a confident presence at the back and a threat when complementing the attack.
Oleg Luzhny Luzhny claimed six consecutive Ukranian league championship medals with Dynamo Kiev, including three league and cup double winning campaigns. But since his £1.8m move to Highbury in May 1999, Luzhny struggled to secure a first team berth.
Gilles Grimandi A £2.5m signing from Monaco in June 1997, Grimandi has been used in midfield and defence this season to help ease the club's injury plight. A combative player, he arrived at Highbury after helping his former club claim the French championship.
Silvinho Silvinho started the season at left-back where the emergence of Cole provided him with fierce competition. But the attacking flair of the Brazilian provides the option for him to be used on the midfield flank. A £4m signing from Corinthians.
Ray Parlour Parlour has developed in both quality and stature under Arsene Wenger. A graduate from the Arsenal ranks, he is a threat when joining the attack and is not averse to scoring the odd spectacular goal.
Edu A £6m signing from Corinthians, the Brazilian's progress at the club has been hampered by an injury shortly after his move. His medal haul already includes two Brazilian league championships.
Patrick Vieira Vieira was a member of the French sqaud which claimed the World Cup in 1998 and won Euro 2000. A £3.5m signing from AC Milan in August 1996, he is Arsenal's midfield dynamo. A forceful and authoratitive presence, his all-round game allows him to contribute both defensively and in attack.
Robert Pires A £6m signing from Marseille, Prires provides an attacking flair to the Arsenal side. The French international is also a holder of World Cup and European Championship winners' medals.
Frederik Ljungberg Recognisable by his dyed hair, Ljungberg scored in the fifth minute of his Arsenal debut against Manchester United. An energetic presence, the Swedish international signed for £3m from Halmstads.
Lauren In helping Cameroon to the 2000 African Nations' Cup, Lauren was voted player of the tournament. Signed from Spanish side Real Mallorca for £7.2m.
Thierry Henry Pace, power and control make this French international one of the most potent strikers in the Premiership. Another holder of World Cup and European Championship winners' medals, he began his career under Wenger at Monaco. He joined Italian club Juventus before a £10.5m move to Arsenal in August 1999.
Kanu Nigerian international Kanu overcame serious heart problems while at Italian club Inter Milan prior to his £4.5m move to Highbury in January 1999. The former Ajax player's enigmatic qualities make him a threat to any defence, although he has not scored as many goals as he would have hoped this season.
Dennis Bergkamp Former Dutch international Bergkamp is fit for the final and possesses the kind of sublime qualities to play a major part. The ex-Ajax player was signed for £7.5m from Inter Milan, although he has had to be content with mainly substitute appearances this term.
Sylvain Wiltord Wiltord has six FA Cup goals to his credit this season and had scored in every round up to the semi-final win against Tottenham. A £13m signing from Bordeaux, the French international scored the equaliser against Italy in the Euro 2000 final which his side went on to win.
