Aldershot's fans and players are already looking beyond their first ever piece of national silverware - to a league and League Cup double.
Their victory on penalties over Rushden & Diamonds in the Setanta Shield final could now be followed by the Blue Square Premier title itself.
Manager Gary Waddock told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "That group of players deserve a hell of a lot of credit.
"We still have seven cup finals left, and the fans have a key role to play."
"There were nearly 4,000 here. I'm sure they enjoyed it, and they spurred us on.
"That could prove vital. Had we lost that, it may have dented the confidence a bit. Its a young group of players, and I think they will be extremely confident going into the rest of the season".
