The 22-year-old midfielder-cum-striker follows Gordon Lennon to Cliftonhill Stadium from the West of Scotland Under-21 outfit.
Defender Lennon has already made four starts for the Coatbridge club.
Donachy could make his Rovers debut against Stenhousemuir on Saturday.
