Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of former Preston North End centre-back Colin Murdock, who has signed a one-year deal.
The 32-year-old Northern Ireland international was released at the end of last season by Shrewsbury Town.
The Ballymena-born player, who started his career as a Manchester United trainee in 1994, moved to Preston for £100,000 three years later.
Murdock made 214 North End appearances in six years at Deepdale.
He moved onto Hibernian on a free transfer in the summer of 2003, and has since had half a season at Crewe and two years with Rotherham United before signing a year ago for his old North End boss Gary Peters at Shrewsbury.
