Accrington Stanley have avoided a points deduction for fielding ineligible players.
The League Two side, which is just above the relegation zone, has been fined £12,000 by the Football League with half of that sum suspended.
A club statement said: "Accrington are satisfied with the outcome of the case.
"We may have been guilty of technicalities that breached regulations. But, we have never sought to cheat or circumvent the rules."
The statement added: "We accept the fine for the breaches and we now look forward to the remaining seven games this season."
Stanley were charged with fielding two ineligible players - work experience Preston striker Chris McGrail and young goalkeeper Martin Fearon in games which yielded seven points.
