Diamond was injured in the victory over Motherwell
Aberdeen defender Zander Diamond will be out for two weeks after limping off against Motherwell on Saturday.
Diamond started the league match at Fir Park but was replaced after 20 minutes.
Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood said the 22-year-old was annoyed to be sidelined after battling back from an unrelated injury in pre-season.
"It's just an unlucky time for Zander. It's not the same injury that kept him out pre-season." said Calderwood. "I suppose in a way that is lucky."
Calderwood's side have managed to avoid injury recently, but with Charlie Mulgrew and Andrew Considine away on international duty for the Scotland U21s, the Aberdeen manager faces a selection headache..

"Zander will probably miss the Rangers and St Mirren games but we have a week off after that so he should be available for the Hamilton game," said Calderwood.
"It's very annoying because it looked as though we had everyone fit.
"Jamie Smith fell ill on Saturday but he trained today and should be ok. We will just have to see how the lads are that come back from the Scotland trip."
"Things are a bit disruptive at the moment because we have got a few injuries to Severin and Young. Hopefully, they should be okay for the end of the week.
"Mulgrew and Considine are away with the U21s. That is very disruptive as they will not be back till late on Thursday night."
