Jimmy Calderwood had hoped the game would be played
Aberdeen's friendly against Go Ahead Eagles in Netherlands has been scrapped amid police fears of crowd trouble.
Concerns were raised following trouble at a game last Saturday involving ex- Manchester United defender Jaap Stam against former club Zwolle.
Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood had hoped the game would be played at a suitable location on Friday.
But a statement on Aberdeen's website said both clubs had "reluctantly" agreed to cancel the game.
Calderwood had hoped his players would be able to continue their pre-season tour with a game at another location.
"Both teams wanted the game played in Terwolde, which is about five miles south of Deventer," he added.

Speaking on Tuesday, the Dons boss said: "There were big problems at Jaap Stam's last game against his old Zwolle team. It was sold-out, there were about 12,000 people there.
"All the old Ajax boys were up and there was a lot of trouble with Ajax supporters who were up for the weekend.
"That's the same police force as they have in Deventer and they had some trouble last year with the Go Ahead fans."
