Booth retires from football
Scott Booth
Scott Booth scored 10 goals for Aberdeen last season
Former Scotland striker Scott Booth has announced his retirement from football.

The 32-year-old, who was released by Aberdeen at the end of the season, has signed a four-year deal with broadcaster Setanta.

He has rejected the chance to continue his playing career with Ross County, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and St Johnstone to become a reporter.

Booth told Aberdeen Evening Express: "It is an area I moved into a year ago and am keen to pursue it as a career."

Setanta, the Irish-based broadcasting company, won the rights to screen live Scottish Premier League games for the next four seasons.
