Minute-by-minute action from Hampden Park where Celtic maintained their hopes of a domestic treble by defeating Dundee United in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

90: Celtic comfortably see out the remainder of the game and will now meet Hibernian in the final on 26 May.

86: Subtitution - David Partridge replaces Jamie Buchan.

Tom Boyd and Tommy Johnson come on for Mjallby and Sutton.

84: A long diagonal United ball is met by Lilley on the six yard line. His first touch sees him round keeper Douglas and scores what is set to be a consolation goal.

80: Celtic all but confirm their place in the final with a third. Larsson is again involved and he tees up McNamara, who shoots into the far corner.

78: A Celtic penalty after Danny Griffin brings down Larsson.

The only point of contention is whether the offence was in the area, but Larsson is unconcerned and steps up to power home the spot-kick for his 49th goal of the season.

75: Hamilton makes an immediate impact for United. He challenges for a cross at the near post which Vega fails to clear at the first attempt.

Hamilton almost gets in a shot before Vega clears just in time.

74: United keeper Gallagher importantly intercepts a McNamara cross with Sutton waiting to pounce.

73: Substituion - United's Jim Hamilton comes on for Craig Easton.

67: Substitution - Jackie McNamara replaces Moravcik for Celtic.

62: Miller slides the ball to Jamie Buchan on the United right. He delivers a cross which keeper Douglas flaps at, but there is no United player on hand to take advantage.

61: Thompson strikes a long range free-kick comfortably high.

56: Moravcik plays a long pass into the path of Larsson's run. The striker controls, cuts inside and curls a shot narrowly wide.

52: Johan Mjallby and David Hannah clash heads as they challenge for the ball, but seem okay to continue after receiving treatment.

48: As another Dundee United attack breaks down, Lambert clears the ball before being fouled by Derek Lilley, who is yellow carded as a result.

41: Moravcik delivers a threatening cross into the United six yard bo. It is just too far ahead of Ramon Vega's reach and keeper Paul Gallagher gathers the ball.

38: United's attacking threat has been minimal and Jamie McCunnie's cross is easily intercepted by Celtic keeper Robert Douglas.

32: Celtic take the lead in spectacular style. Sutton delivers a cross to United's near post where Larsson meets the ball with a diving header and scores from an acute angle.

30: Celtic clear a United corner and launch a sweeping attack which culminates in Sutton having a shot blocked.

28: Sutton tries to play strike partner Larsson through onto goal but De Vos cuts out the pass as the United defence continue to frustrate Celtic.

26: Sutton thumps a header from Larsson's cross against the United crossbar.

22: Jason de Vos is forced into a lunging tackle to block a Sutton shot from the edge of the area.

17: Joos Valgaeren's angled shot is high when he might have done better to try and find a Celtic team-mate.

16: Agathe is enjoying some success down Celtic's right side and his cross is only cleared to Alan Thompson on the opposite flank.

His cross is crucially cleared by Jim Lauchlan.

12: A long Lubo Moravcik pass finds Henrik Larsson on Celtic's right and he gets in a cross aimed for Sutton, but the United defence are equal to the challenge.

9: Miller runs onto the Celtic goal and he uses the time and space he is allowed to strike a long range effort that goes comfortably high.

1 min: A threatening Didier Agathe cross earns Celtic a corner, which the Dundee United defence clear.

Celtic get the match underway after a minute's silence as a mark of respect for Scottish football legend Jim Baxter, who died of cancer.


Striker Chris Sutton returns to the Celtic line-up while midfielder Charlie Miller starts for Dundee United after shaking off an ankle injury.
