Highlights - Hibernian 1-3 Aberdeen

Chris Maguire's double helped Aberdeen end their Scottish Premier League season with victory over Hibernian.

Derek Riordan found the net for the hosts with a volley after 21 minutes and Akpo Sodje struck the frame of the Dons goal before the break.

Josh Magennis headed Aberdeen level three minutes into the second half.

Maguire spun in the box to smash home on 75 minutes and added another two minutes later with a stunning strike from outside the box.

The match was preceded by a minute's applause in memory of the late Eddie Turnbull, who managed both clubs and spent his entire playing career with Hibs.

Langfield, fresh from signing a new one-year contract with the Dons, came to the visitors' rescue in the opening minutes when he blocked Miller's shot after the Hibs midfielder had gone clean through on goal.

Maguire drew a save from Mark Brown with a shot that swerved through the air before the hosts began to take control.

Ricardo Vaz Te struck the post with a drive from long range and then Riordan opened the scoring.

David Wotherspoon put the Dons defence under pressure with a determined run and his cross deflected off a defender and sat up perfectly for Riordan to smash home on the volley on what could be his final appearance for the Easter Road side.

Hibernian forward Derek Riordan
Riordan had put Hibs into the lead with his 104th goal for the club

Sodje was next to threaten for Hibs, the Englishman unable to keep his shot down.

Langfield collected a drive by Richie Towell before referee Willie Collum waved away a penalty claim for Hibs.

Riordan got himself into a shooting position and went to ground after being closed down by Vujadinovic but no foul was given.

Aberdeen levelled three minutes into the second half as Magennis bulleted a header past Brown after meeting Maguire's corner.

Hibs tried to reassert themselves and Sodje and then Towell failed the hit the target as Aberdeen were opened up again.

Another Maguire corner caused Hibs problems as Vujadinovic rose to nod towards goal but Brown saved a point-blank range to keep the scores level.

A flowing move from Hibs put Riordan in on goal and, though his flick beat Langfield, Vujadinovic scrambled the ball clear on the goal-line.

Riordan then volleyed into the side netting after being teed up by Sodje's header.

Sodje headed wide before Maguire put Aberdeen into the lead for the first time.

The forward, who like Riordan is out of contract in the summer, had an initial effort blocked but retrieved the ball in the box before turning and firing into the net.

And Maguire sealed victory with an excellent driving run and strike in off the post.

Wotherspoon had an excellent chance to score when he ran on to Riordan's cross but Langfield saved the header.

Maguire sensed a hat-trick chance when he let fly again but on this occasion Brown beat the ball away.

Wotherspoon took advantage of some carelessness from the Dons defence to fire in a shot that cracked off the crossbar.

But there was to be no late comeback from Hibs as Aberdeen saw out their win.
