1440: Celtic manager Tony Mowbray has just told BBC Radio Scotland that he's happy to have moved top of the table. His Hamilton counterpart Billy Reid believes his side could have snatched a point. Thanks for your company this afternoon, see you next weekend for more of the same. Cheers!

1424: Hamilton supporters must be frustrated after watching this afternoon's defeat. Their side didn't really get into the game until going two down and could have snatched an unlikely equaliser near the end.

1422: Celtic leapfrog Rangers to move to the top of the SPL table with a nervy win over Hamilton. Tony Mowbray's side are a point ahead of their Old Firm rivals.

1420: Hamilton are launching long balls towards the Celtic penalty area - to no avail.

1419: We're into three minutes of injury time at New Douglas Park. Can Accies find a winner?

1406: The expected Hamilton onslaught has failed to materialise in this second half. But a goal now could change things... Jordan Kirkpatrick forces Lukas Zaluska into a save. Corner to Hamilton but Celtic clear the danger.

From Rudi On My Sport: "Not great quality, but I have to laugh at the comment about the genius of Barclays Premier League - outside top four the games are of same entertainment standard as SPL - higher quality players perhaps but same level of boredom."

1403: Marc Crosas and Niall McGinn come on for Scott McDonald and Shaun Maloney, respectively. The game is crying out for a wee bit of magic with 15 minutes remaining.

1400: Hamilton midfielder James McArthur finds himself in space 20 yards from goal but his curling effort is easily saved by Lukas Zaluska.

1358: Scott McDonald sees his close-range shot saved by Tomas Cerny but the striker was flagged offside. Just over 20 minutes for Hamilton to get back into this game or for Celtic to extend their lead.

1354: Paddy McCourt comes on for Aiden McGeady and Guillaume Beuzelin comes on for David Elebert as both sides look for a spark to lighten up this second half.

1352: Georgios Samaras snatches at his shot after being set up brilliantly by Shaun Maloney. A poor miss by the big Greek.

1348: Shaun Maloney sends a free-kick wide of Tomas Cerny's right-hand post after Mark McLaughlin chopped down Aiden McGeady.

1341: Low-key start to the second half with Celtic seemingly happy to retain possession. The game needs a Hamilton goal to lift proceedings.

1336: Hamilton force a corner after Andreas Hinkel clears but Mickael Antoine-Curier sends his header wide under pressure from Georgios Samaras.

1335: Zheng Zhi tests Tomas Cerny with a shot early in the second half but the Hamilton keeper collects easily.

1333: The second half gets under way.

1324: Hamilton face a bit of a challenge to drag themselves back into this game. Celtic look likely to move clear at the top of the SPL table.

1316: Celtic midfielder Shaun Maloney fires in a shot which is comfortably saved by Tomas Cerny. We're into injury time at the end of the first half.

1315: Plenty of industry from Hamilton but they've failed to cut open the Celtic defence in this first half.

1312: Celtic are still down to 10 men with captain Stephen McManus receiving treatment for that head knock.

1310: Marco Paixao trudges off to be replaced by Jordan Kirkpatrick as Hamilton manager Billy Reid looks to shake his side into action.

1307: Marco Paixao sends in a wicked free-kick but once again there are no takers in the Celtic box and Hamilton fail to reduce the deficit.

1306: It appears Celtic's second goal has sucked the life out of Hamilton. They've lost a bit of their zip - manager Billy Reid is urging them on from the sidelines. Just over 10 minutes until half-time.

1303: Celtic captain Stephen McManus goes off for treatment for a nasty face wound after a clash of heads with Mark McLaughlin. Richard Hastings can't profit from Hamilton's numerical advantage as he sends a free-kick high over the bar.

Calamitous defending by Hamilton is punished by Celtic who double their lead. Georgios Samaras is halted in his tracks on the edge of the area by James McArthur but the ball breaks to McDonald who fires the ball past Tomas Cerny for his 8th goal of the season and 4th in the league.

1300:GOAL! Hamilton 0-2 Celtic (Scott McDonald)

1258: Andreas Hinkel does just enough to stop James McArthur in his tracks as the Hamilton midfielder is about to pull the trigger. Play rages up the other end and Georgios Samaras sees his shot blocked.

1257: Hamilton are struggling to get Mickael Antoine-Curier into the game and the hitman looks isolated up front.

1253: Zheng Zhi cracks a shot over the bar after Aiden McGeady cross was blocked following a superb threaded pass from Gary Caldwell.

1252: The hosts are looking the likelier side after Maloney's strike and have Celtic pinned in their own half at the moment.

1250: What a chance for Hamilton. Lee Naylor gifts Hamilton possession with an ill-advised pass across his own goal but Simon Mensing blazes well wide.

1249: Stung into action by Celtic's goal, Hamilton striker Mickael Antoine-Curier embarks on a mazy run but his 25-yard shot is comfortably saved by Lukasz Zaluska.

Andreas Hinkel sends in a deep cross and Shaun Maloney hooks the ball home with a cracking volley. First blood to Celtic.

1244: Lee Naylor speeds past Simon Mensing and then sends his cross out for a goal-kick. A howler from the left back. Thirteen minutes gone and we're still waiting for an effort target. Come on, get the finger out!

1240: Trent McClenehan sends a delicious cross into the Celtic penalty area but there are no Hamilton takers.

1239: Shaun Maloney tries a few Ronaldiho-style stepovers but is easily dispossessed. The tricky wide man appears out of form for Celtic at the moment. Neither goalkeeper has been called into action yet.

1238: Hamilton thunder down Celtic's left-hand side and Simon Mensing's cross is partially cleared. The hosts are warming to the task at a bitterly cold New Douglas Park.

1237: Celtic captain Stephen McManus launches a long ball upfield, Scott McDonald flicks it on but the ball trundles through to Tomas Cerny.

Apparently Brown is being rested to allow him to recover from his recent ankle trouble.

1224: The Hamilton and Celtic supporters are sporting the winter jackets at New Douglas Park. Hopefully a cracker of a game will keep them warm.

1220: What do Celtic fans make of Tony Mowbray's changes? Goals have been at a premium recently - pressure on Scott McDonald and Georgios Samaras to rediscover their shooting boots.

1216: Hamilton captain Alex Neil returns to the bench in his first appearance for Accies since undergoing hip surgery in the summer. Accies boss Billy Reid starts with the same side which drew 1-1 with Dundee United last week.

Celtic goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska makes his first league start of the season in place of the injured Artur Boruc in one of four Celtic changes. Midfielders Scott Brown and Landry N'Guemo and defender Mark Wilson drop out. Andreas Hinkel replaces Wilson at right-back, Zheng Zhi starts and Georgios Samaras returns to partner Scott McDonald in attack.
