Hibernian 2-1 Dundee United
Steven Fletcher celebrates scoring the winner
Steven Fletcher completed Hibs' comeback to secure victory
High-flying Hibernian came from a goal behind to beat Dundee United in an entertaining clash at Easter Road.

The visitors took the lead after 24 minutes, when Shelton Martis headed the ball into his own net.

Hibs defender Rob Jones equalised on the stroke of half-time when he converted Chris Killen's flick on.

John Collins' side scored the winner with 17 minutes remaining, when Steven Fletcher swept home Abdessalam Benjelloun's pass from 12 yards.

Hibernian striker Killen passed a late fitness test to take his place in the starting line-up.

The New Zealand international missed the 2-2 draw with Celtic last weekend with a hamstring injury but replaced Abdessalam Benjelloun in the team.

United manager Craig Levein was without injured forward Noel Hunt and David Goodwillie was handed only his second start alongside Collin Samuel.

Neither side managed to create clear-cut chances in the opening stages, with the play congested in a busy midfield.

Hibs could have scored in 21 minutes when Ivan Sproule's drilled cross was collected by Fletcher, whose shot went wide of goal.

The visitors took the lead in 24 minutes when Martis flicked the ball past his own goalkeeper Zbigniew Malkowski after Craig Conway's cross.

Fletcher tried to restore parity, but his shot from 12 yards in 28 minutes sailed over the bar.

United had looked the more menacing side but conceded an equaliser on the stroke of half-time when Jones converted Killen's headed pass from a Kevin Thomson free kick.

Despite the disappointment at losing a goal, United remained disciplined after the break.

Following a sustained spell of pressure, Mark Kerr unleashed a shot in 52 minutes, but his effort drifted past the post.

Hibs continued to press for a winner and found it when Fletcher latched onto Benjelloun's pass to fire home.
