Hibernian 2-1 Rangers
Chris Killen
Chris Killen dominated the match at Easter Road
Hibernian's Chris Killen pounced twice against Rangers and was then sent off in a gripping contest at Easter Road.

Striker Killen gave the hosts the early lead when his looping header from the edge of the box beat Allan McGregor.

Filip Sebo equalised on his Rangers debut after the interval but Killen struck again with another headed goal.

Then Killen was sent off after a tussle with Julien Rodrigeuz and Rangers' Phil Bardsley was dismissed late on, for failing to retreat at a Hibs corner.

Ivan Sproule started for Hibs after Merouane Zemmama had failed to train this week.

Sebo was in, with Kris Boyd on the Rangers bench, as Chris Burke and Jeremy Clement replaced Libor Sionko and Brahim Hemdani.

Rangers keeper Allan McGregor had an early block from Sproule before a Killen header flew inches wide.

Killen struck when a Michael Stewart free-kick reached the striker and his fine header landed in the net.

With Rangers under severe pressure, McGregor saved another Killen headed attempt and Rob Jones poked wide from the rebound.

After a Karl Svensson goal-line clearance, Rangers team-mate Steven Smith was booked, as both Barry Ferguson and Bardsley followed him into the referee's book.

Bosnian defender Sasa Papac made his first Rangers appearance as he replaced the injured Smith at the interval.

McGregor smothered a Shelton Martis effort and Abdessalam Benjelloun was also denied.

Rangers pulled level after 64 minutes as Burke skipped past David Murphy and delivered the perfect cross for Sebo, whose powerful header crashed over the line.

But Killen came back to punish Rangers again when, unmarked, his bullet header flew past McGregor from Steven Whittaker's cross.

To cap his afternoon, Killen, who had been booked for removing his shirt during his goal celebration, received a second booking from John Underhill after a scuffle with Rodriguez.

Bardsley was also dismissed near the end for a second booking for his dissent at a corner.
