Livingston 0-0 Aberdeen
Livingston edged further away from the bottom of the table after an abysmal goalless draw with Aberdeen.

Almondvale striker Paul Dalglish had a glimpse of goal but dragged his shot into the side-netting.

Aberdeen's Stevie Crawford was then sent clear but lobbed the ball straight at keeper Roddy McKenzie.

Livi's best chance came from Jason Dair's close-range effort - after good work from Robert Snodgrass - but it was saved by the legs of Jamie Langfield.

The first 45 minutes did little to warm the sparse crowd and passed without any action of note.

Visiting keeper Jamie Langfield gave the travelling fans a fright when he miscontrolled a back-pass, allowing Dave Mackay to block his clearance but the ball spun away to safety.

The half ended with an extremely bad tackle from Dons captain Russell Anderson on Livi's Harald Pinxten, which went unpunished by referee Dougie McDonald.

Twelve minutes after the break, Dalglish - watched by his father, Kenny - latched on to Pinxten's flick but snatched at his shot and dragged it into the side-netting.

A minute later, Barry Nicholson cleverly picked out Crawford but the Scotland striker shot tamely at McKenzie.

Dair then saw his effort blocked on the goal-line by Langfield as the home side enjoyed a brief period of pressure. Five minutes from time, Nicholson headed a Livi corner onto the top of his own bar and from the follow-up Gabor Vincze's 15-yard volley was well handled by Langfield.

Livingston, who are now three points clear of bottom side Dunfermline, almost snatched a late goal when Pinxten's header fizzed wide of the target.

The out-of-form Dons have now won just once in eight league and cup games and are in real danger of not finishing in the lucrative top-six come the spring.
