Hearts win Festival Cup
Craig Sives gave Hearts a half-time lead
Hearts defended the Edinburgh Festival Cup with a 3-1 win over city rivals Hibs at Tynecastle.

Craig Sives scored from close range after 42 minutes and substitute Mark de Vries headed home a corner with his first touch on the hour.

Stephen Dobbie pulled one back from the penalty spot after he'd seen an earlier effort ruled out for offside.

Dennis Wyness wrapped up the win late in the game with a simple finish after some poor Hibs defending.

Both teams were without a host of first-team players due to international commitments and injuries.

Ticket sales had been slow but a respectable 7,282 showed up.
