Livingston v Celtic
Livingston
Livingston have never met Celtic in a competitive match
Livingston have been handed a timely boost ahead of the game with the league leaders at Almondvale.

Striker David Fernandez had been struggling with a tooth abcess, but the 25-year-old could play if, as expected, no surgery is required.

Fellow Spaniard Francisco 'Quino' Guinovart is also set to play in the first ever competitive match between the sides after shrugging off a thigh injury.

Celtic will be without winger Bobby Petta and defender Joos Valgaeren for the visit to West Lothian.

Petta tore a hamstring while training with Holland during the week and will be out for a number of weeks, while Valgaeren is still struggling to shake the knock which kept him out of the victory over Hearts last Saturday.

Midfielder Alan Thompson has recovered well from an ankle injury and a grass burn and looks likely to fill the berth on the left flank vacated by Petta, but Steve Guppy will be pressing for a first start.

Chris Sutton may continue to deputise for Valgaeren in a defensive role, allowing John Hartson to partner Henrik Larsson, although manager Martin O'Neill would not be drawn on his pre-match plans.

If Sutton is given his more familiar striking job, Tom Boyd, Momo Sylla or Olivier Tebily could step into the back line.
