Dundee suffer their fifth straight league loss by being beaten by Rangers, who improve their Champions League qualification aspirations.

85: Dundee's Steven Tweed concedes a penalty after bringing down Dodds. The third spot-kick of the game, it is also another miss after Dodds drags his attempt wide.

80: The home side's Gavin Rae shoots high when the ball falls to him on the edge of the Rangers area.

79: Caniggia makes another eye-catching run towards the Rangers goal but his cross is cleared by Amoruso.

75: Dundee are punished in emphatic fashion when a Rangers free-kick is touched to Konterman and he shotts low and hard into keeper Roccati's right corner. Dundee 0-1 Rangers

36: After a quiet period in the game, Porrini tries from long range and his shot is deflected wide.

19: The lively Caniggia produces another threatening run on the Rangers goal and creates a chance for Juan Sara. The angled shot on goal is saved by Rangers keeper Stefan Klos.

18: Garrido overlaps on the left flank for Dundee and delivers a pin-point cross for the unmarked Caniggia, who heads disappointingly wide from close range.

16: Dundee's new Argentine signing in Alberto Garrido concedes a free-kick 25-yeards out but Rangers' Lorenzo Amoruso shoots wide from the dead-ball effort.

12: Rangers earn three corners in quick succession with the second being cleared off the line following Sergio Porrini's near post header.

8: Roccati is forced to make another important save and blocks at the feet of Flo on the edge of the area after Tugay's incisive through ball.

5: Barry Ferguson tees up Tore Andre Flo for a shot in the Dundee area but the Rangers strikers' effort is well saved by Marco Roccati.
