Clydebank 3-2 Hamilton
Alex Burke's injury-time penalty completed a superb Clydebank fightback as the
visiting side came back from being two goals down to win against
Hamilton.
It had looked as if the visitors were coasting to victory when they took an early lead. After six minutes Michael Moore opened the scoring and a second strike followed just 12 minutes later when Alan Russell powered home a header. But a mistake by Hamilton keeper Graham Potter let the home side back into the game four minutes later, after he palmed a Derek Ferguson corner into his own net. The Accies had to wait until nine minutes from time to draw level with Ferguson rifling in a low shot. And an injury-time lob from George Shaw was heading towards the net when Hamilton defender Eddie Cunnington handled and knocked it over the crossbar. Cunnington was sent off and Burke put away the winning penalty. Clydebank: Smith, Bossy, McNally, McVey, McKinnon, Paton, Hamilton, Ferguson, Shaw, Graham, McGrillen.
