Marvin Andrews (centre) is missing for Raith and Livingston

Falkirk v Livingston

Livingston include new midfield signings Alex Burns and Steve Tosh in their squad following their amazing triple signing from Raith Rovers.

However, the third of the trio, Trinidad and Tobago defender Marvin Andrews, will have to wait for his debut as his work permit has not yet been switched between clubs.

Two week's ago, Livingston suffered a 4-0 hammering at home to Rovers, but they have bounced back with a league win at Airdrie and a place in the Challenge Cup final via a 2-1 defeat of East Stirlingshire.

Full-back Paddy Kelly is still injured, though, and also missing is striker Brian McPhee (hamstring).

Falkirk, meanwhile, could give a debut to 19-year-old striker Steve Craig - the son of former Celtic favourite Joe Craig - signed last week from Broxburn Juniors.

However, veteran winger Kevin McAllister will have a late fitness test for an ankle knock and defender Steve Rennie is also very doubtful with a virus.

Manager Alex Totten also lost two of his players to cash-rich Livingston during the close season and that contributed to a less than convincing start to the season.

To make matters worse for the visit of the league leaders, Kevin McAllister has an ankle knock and will face a late fitness test.

However, Totten's side have battled well to stay in touch and he said: "We are at home and, if we can get the three points, we can go level and you can't get a bigger incentive than that."

Although defender Greig Denham, who sat on the bench last week, suffered a slight reaction to his cartilage operation playing for the reserves in midweek, he is fit enough to be included in the squad.

Ayr United v Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Ayr United are hoping to build on last week's home victory over Clyde, which took Gordon Dalziel's side into second spot.

However, defender Neil Duffy is doubtful for the visit of an Inverness Caledonian Thistle side boosted by last week's 4-1 win away to Alloa Athletic, a result that lifted them off the bottom of the table.

Ayr will, however, have the experienced former Celtic and Hibernian defender John Hughes and midfielder Gary Teale back in the squad.

Dalziel said: "We want to make sure we remain undefeated at home."

Inverness will be without Canadian international Richard Hastings through suspension and fellow defender Mike Teasdale is out with a back injury.

That could mean a starting place for winger David Bagan and veteran defender Bobby Mann, back from suspension.

Manager Steve Paterson said: "We have had a run of bad results recently, so it's good to get a decent result and give the players belief in themselves."

Clyde v Raith Rovers

Raith Rovers not only slumped to a single-goal defeat at home in their last outing, but they face the trip to Cumbernauld without three of their top players.

Trinidad and Tobago international defender Marvin Andrews, plus midfielders Alex Burns and Steve Tosh, have all been transferred to league leaders Livingston due to a cash crisis.

As if that was not bad enough, full-back Sasha Opinel, midfielder Kenny Black and central defender Paul Browne all face fitness tests.

That could mean 19-year-old Paul Hampshire, 18-year-old Kevin Nicol and Brian Hetherston being considered for the midfield positions and 20-year-old Laurie Ellis for the defence.

David Dunn and Andy Kane return to action for Clyde and manager Allan Maitland has no injuries ahead of their game against Raith Rovers.

However, the Broadwood boss will be without forwards Martin McLaughlin and Allan Grant, who are both suspended after being red-carded in last week's late capitulation at Ayr.

Of Raith's loss of three players, Maitland said: "I am not sure whether this makes the game more difficult or not - I don't know whether it will affect them but it will make it an interesting game."

Morton v Airdrieonians

Airdrieonians' prospective owner, Steve Archibald, believes that reaching the Challenge Cup final should prove the springboard to lift his side off the bottom of the First Division.

Looking forward to the trip to play Morton, he said: "Livingston's chairman Dominic Keane mentioned he was delighted how Livingston had made it to the final after just three years and it made me realise we have only been playing together as a team for three months.

"It makes the achievement all the greater."

Archibald only has one injury worry ahead of their game at Cappielow.

Miguel Alfonso is still struggling and Archibald believes it is unlikely that the defender will be fit enough to play.

Morton manager Allan Evans has no fresh injury worries for his inconsistent side, but midfielder Brian Kerr is still ruled out.

Evans believes that last week's win away to Raith Rovers last week will give the team a boost.

Ross County v Alloa Athletic

Ross County will give a debut to former Scotland B striker Andy Smith, signed on loan from Kilmarnock.

Ironically, Smith, who earned his international honour while playing for Dunfermline Athletic, will be up against Kilmarnock team-mate Stuart Davidson, the midfielder who will be playing the last game of his loan spell with Alloa Athletic.

The Highland side will also be boosted by the return from suspension of another former East End Park man, midfielder Eddie Cunnington.

Craig Taggart is back in training, but manager Neale Cooper believes it is too soon for the midfielder to play.

Just one point separates the two teams, both of whom suffered defeat last weekend and who also faced one another in last season's Second Division.

Recent signing Grant Johnston will start in midfield for Alloa, striker Chris Wood is back after tonsilitis, but they will be without defender Frank Conway, who has the flu.
