The Livingston players celebrate winning the Second Division title

Livingston clinched the Second Division title and automatic promotion after comfortably beating Stenhousemuir.

The visitors' win allied to Brechin City's defeat gave Livi an unassailable lead at the top of the division.

Kyle Jacobs fired past Stenny goalkeeper Chris McCluskey to open the scoring on 35 minutes.

Liam Fox volleyed Livingston's second just before the hour mark and David Sinclair's strike completed the victory near the end.

And, as Livi celebrate a second successive promotion, second-bottom Stenhousemuir slip five points behind Alloa Athletic.


Stenhousemuir: McCluskey, Lyle, Paton (Sloane 63), Gibb, Iain Thomson, Dickson, Anderson, Gilmuir, Clark (Lynch 68), Murray, Quinn (Stirling 61).
