Clyde 3-3 Elgin City

Scottish Football League

Jim Duffy's first match as Clyde boss ended in a draw after late Elgin goals.

Clyde took the lead through John Stewart before Jason Crooks levelled from the penalty spot.

Duffy's side retook the lead through a Marc McCusker penalty before Elgin's David Gormley missed from the spot and Nicki Paterson put Clyde two clear.

But headers from Gormley and Craig Frizzel squared the match as Clyde finished with ten men after McCusker saw a second yellow card.

Clyde manager Jim Duffy:
"I am looking forward to the game as I have not seen the guys play in a competitive game yet.

"I know a bit about Elgin as Brechin faced them twice last season when I was manager there. However, this game is about finding out about Clyde."

Elgin City manager Ross Jack:
"I have seen it many times in my career where sides are lifted by the 'new manager syndrome' and earn a win after a disappointing run.

"Jim is an old friend and I wish him well but hope Clyde's recovery starts as soon as our game is finished."
