Kallum Higginbotham boosted Falkirk's promotion hopes with a brace in their derby win over flu-stricken Stirling.

Higginbotham swept in Chris Mitchell's corner after five minutes and Albion's Brian Allison turned a 20th-minute Marc Twaddle cross into his own net.

David Vitiven headed a reply, but Higginbotham nodded in from Kieran Duffie's centre on the half hour.

Brian McLean headed the fourth with an hour gone before Paul McHale crashed in a late effort from long range.
